I was going back and forth between yesterday when the lineup was announced and this morning on whether I wanted to pull the trigger on the set and ultimately did. For 18 beers (12 16oz cans and 6 750ml bottle) I think the cost is tremendous so long as the beers are good which for the most part other than the Rum versions a couple years ago they have been really good for me. The cost is identical to last year and you get 6 more beers in the form of a 2nd each of the 6 16oz cans). And for locals it's only $5 more to get delivered within 25 miles of RVA or just $30 more for shipping in DC & VA if you're not local

The only bummer is having to wait until Dec. 11th when pickup / deliver / shipping begins when the first release will happen Nov. 7th. but that's been the norm for the pre-order set. I'll just have to not be tempted the first 5 weeks of releases to grab bottles/cans knowing it's all coming on Dec. At the very least I might try some draft pours of them leading up.

I'm sure my BIL will go in on the set... I'll try and ride with him when he goes and get the Fluffy and the Island (those 2 I believe were set-only last year)

I am most intrigued by the BB Caliente... lets go ahead and call it "Fireball GBS"

I, similarly, have mentally gone back and forth here. Hardywood was one of the first breweries that I went out of my way to aquire. Collecting a set to drink (and trade) used to be one of my fall go-tos but either growth or lower quality materials yielded an interior product. The last bottles I bought, I was disappointed and haven't gone back. While that doesn't stop me from trying it on draft, I won't buy bottles any longer.

There are a few, like Caliente and Fluffy, that intrigue me, but the GBS craze doesn't appeal to me any longer. I'm glad they are making a lot of offerings, as well as sets for purchase in the last couple of years. I wish them nothing but the best during the GBS season!

I'll pass. If like years past, all these beers that are exclusive will be beyond easy to drink at the brewery if you really want them. It's a good value and we've done it the past couple years but there is just way to many better stouts locally to get during the same time frame.

If I were more into stouts, I think that I would jump on this (pricing is good). It'd be really cool to do these side by side.
