Can anyone confirm that on December 19th Hardywood will release Apple Brandy GBS & Kentucky Christmas Morning?

 

It isn't posted as an "event" yet but on their page under Experimental Beers, it has a release date of December 19th. Bring some Burial stuff with you if you are coming. Judging by the picture you may be nearby there?

 

Would any of these make it up to the Woodbridge, VA area? I have family that lives there and would love to get the BA version and Christmas Morning. But will not be able to drive up for their releases :/

 

Gonna say that is pretty much confirmed even though the event has not been created on their website or FB. Along with what @gopens44 stated as it being listed as the release date under the beer details on their website it was also mentioned at the bottom of the Nov 17th newsletter.

I'm not familiar with shops in the Woodbridge area but with an 8pp limit and no mention of it being brewery only I would fully expect bottles of both BGBS and Christmas Morning (regular) to hit distro. Just find out which locations go GBS (that won't be hard considering the market got flooded with it).

I was able to get regular GBS at Wegmans in Woodbridge. If not there Springfield Total Wine is a short drive from Woodbridge.

 

Did anyone go to the BGBS release yesterday? Seemed unnecessary bc it wasn't too hard to get a few bottles last year in HR but sure enough I saw elsewhere a pic of a huge line.

 

Anyone know if there is any BGBS left at the brewery today? Thinking of stopping by on my way back from DC.

 

I didn't go but people on facebook said they were far from running low yesterday, there should be plenty left at the brewery and I expect to see it in distro.

 

Plenty of GBS and BGBS at the brewery. Also a nice dog event going on as well. Best part, no lines!

Yeah, there was a massive line yesterday and it really wasn't neccessary. Part of it was because there was a Christmas parade on Broad st., and also the craft show at Hardywood, along with BA GBS release meant more traffic than usual. There was plenty of BA GBS this morning, and in discussions with some people that work there, should be basically the same for Xmas morning next weekend. Which means, people will be able to stroll in on Sunday and grab bottles. No doubt there will still be a line for Christmas morning next Saturday. Such is the case for RVA beer these days

 

One thing I noticed yesterday that was a little disconcerting: the brewery has a blackboard with their releases and included both Christmas Morning and KY Christmas Morning but didn't have anything about AB GBS. After speaking with someone working the event (who was a massive douche), he said that they are still releasing it even though it isn't listed. Just wanted to clarify in case anyone was wondering and saw that too.

 

What about on the 19th? Do they suspect ABGBS and KYCM to last longer than the day?

 

Hope so - on the Xmas morning, gotta work all day Saturday so Im hoping to get some Sunday. Missed out on bottles completey last yr

 

I know the limits for AB and Kentucky will potentially be between 2-4 of each per person. Believe they made about half as much or less of those as BA GBS and Christmas morning. Still believe those two will be hitting distro, though inmuch smaller amounts. My guess, is they will last the day, just like every other Hardywood release has been doing this Fall.

 

When will BA GBS go to distro? Trying to find the closest place from Raleigh to pick some up.

 

Started hitting distro in NOVA today so it should be any day the rest of this week across the state. Your closest bets (I do not know what they carry) will likely be Vintages By the Dan or Virginia Caps & Corks in Danville or Supply Line Discounts in South Boston.
