Hardywood Trickey Release

Check out Alamo BBQ, Buz and Ned's is mediocre at best. I'm a bit of a barbecue nut and would put it up against anything in Tennessee/elsewhere (although TX brisket vs. Memphis ribs is a bit apples and oranges).

 

They will have at least 3, 4 food trucks on site as well

 

I second Alamo, that's my favorite place to get bbq in Richmond.

 

Line is already around the building and its getting wider up front

 

I'd say 300 or so in line right now

 

Lines around the building and down the street and into the parking lot next door

 

Getting long! Haha.

 

There appears to be a few folks ahead of me......

Yes, $72.xx out the door for 4

 

Awesome beer. Hot as hell at first, but let it warm and some of the alcohol vapors dissipate and disperse, and the apple-vanilla-fudginess just really impressed me.

 

Got there around 1:30, got out around 4:30 with my 4. First release I've ever been to. Had a good time talking to the other folks in line. Lots of awesome dogs, which always brightens the day.

 

What'd y'all think of the bride of frankenbier? I dig their blends, Sixtel was awesome.

 

The guys I stood behind said the line moved way slower at this release than others. We got there at twelve and didn't get our bottles til after 3:30. I guess they usually have more people to ring you out, but today was only two. Smooth nonetheless and an awesome time. Lots of great people, and of course, great beer.

I thought that the Cru was most dominant in Bride but either way, mouthfeel was insanely silky. Did become a touch tedious there by the time I was nearly done

 

Overall this was a great event but I've got two easy things that I think could have been better.
1. Have more than 3 people selling bottles
2. Have the line go back and forth in their property (like a TSA line) so we can drink beer in line while we wait
