    Anybody had this stuff?

I just saw Firkins tweet that they have it. I'm an IPA fiend and am curious. There are 2 reviews (both very strong) in the reviews section, but wanted to check with ya'll.

From the Twin Cities Bottle Hunt thread:

"Introducing our newest seasonal, Harness the Winter IPA. Our Winter IPA was brewed in honor of the boundless energy and tenacious character of the sled-dog. Brewed for heartiness with oats, rye and malted barley (7.2 %) The comfort of malt sweetness harnesses the cold crisp citrus notes from the hops. This Winter IPA is the perfect way to celebrate bounding through the deep snow. Check back tomorrow on details for when and where you can enjoy it! Cheers"

Fun! Is it comparable to any other IPA's you've had or kind of in its own realm? Some faves of mine are Abrasive, Fresh Squeezed, Sucks, etc.

Bigger, Fatter malt base, more like Furious. Winter IPA is a very good description.

From this point on, I am really going to try to use "bigger, fatter" to describe beer more.

North Shore style IPA. NICE hoppy bitterness balanced by oats rye and malt. Not your typical fruity ipa. Try it!

Really solid beer, definitely has a big malt backbone, but enough hop presence to add some bitterness, a nice heavy IPA to sip on during these cold nights.

If I can extrapolate there is canning date of 1/23 .... 50123A5CK066
Assuming 5 is for 2015, 01 is January, and 23 being the 23rd.

Just picked this one up, and yeah, it's a winner.

This isn't my style but I'll be damned if it doesn't pair well with a little Thai red curry...

Drank my 1st. Loving it. I like what the oats did to the body and feel. The rye could of been a little bit more assertive however.

"Tapped a cask of Harness the Winter IPA for another surprise Firkin Friday at The Bent Tap! #Cask hopped with Cascade whole #hops from Brule River Hill Top Hops. Yum! "
