Just a heads up that my favorite brewery, Harriet Brewing, is bottling now. They started with 100 bottles each of West Side, Dark Abbey, and Divine Oculust. $10 for a bomber, currently only available at the tap room, but they said on Twitter that this is the first step to getting their bottles in stores.

I have a bottle Dark Abbey holding a place of honor in my fridge.

750's. I've always called that size a "bomber" and also generically covered all bottles of that approximate a bomber.

To me, bombers are 22 oz bottles and 750s are 750 ml bottles.

I love me some Harriet, but at $10 a bottle I'll pass.

If they are asking $10 for a 750 of Westside, how much do they get for a growler of it?

I think it is $12. Which makes the 750ml price more than a bit strange.

Do breweries ever do actual research on what a fair price for their beer should be? How do you charge $12 for a growler, and then say "Ya, $10 for less than half the beer is a fair price." ??? Seriously, the price of bombers and 750's these days is a little ridiculous. Especially when we're talking about a regular lineup brew and not a special release. And obviously it's not just Harriett, it's pretty much every brewery.

Wooden weizen is my favorite hefe, but assuming that the prices will stay the same I can buy a twelve of schells for that price. All depends on competition the same price or more for PD sours because that style isn't readily available on the market.

I would only buy Harriet at about $5 for a 750mL.
