Just wondering how my fellow Houston BA's are holding up. I know we have a mix from the heights all the way down to the Clear Lake area that I see posting here frequently. I hope all is well, check in and let us know how you are doing if you can. Prayers with you.. Hoping to see the light at the end of the tunnel here in the next day or two (hoping it isn't the train). I have faired well, had water up close to the house but receded rather quickly Saturday night. Picked up my in-laws who live right where they opened up the reservoirs this morning as water was about to enter their house. My biggest scare was tonite when my street refused to drain, everything was full and streets were flooded around us, but after a few hours it went away. Hopefully God willing will make it out of this with just a trashed fence. Also like to shout out for all the great people that rushed to our city to help people out. Again hope all is well and will keep ya'll in my prayers.

I'm in the heights. Saturday night and Sunday were bad. I was probably less than an hour from my place being flooded but was really lucky. It has pretty much receded now and am about to help open Premium Draught if anybody in the area wants to or can stop by safely. Will open around 12.

I think the Kroger on 11th is open if anyone needs essentials.

I know Down House was open yesterday taking any donations they could as well as limited hours and food/drink menu if people need to deflate for a while. Assuming they will do the same today.

    Stay safe.

My house in Pasadena had water in the garage and up to the front and back doors. All the water had since receded. I've been at work since Saturday am.

You can go damn near anywhere on the planet with a M35A2, while taking 20+ people in the back along for the ride. Just heard about another levee being breached, so you all stay safe down there.

At Heights Beer Garten now. They are also taking donations. Check out their facebook post to see what is needed. Most the donation centers and shelters seem to have enough clothing but need other items and they will specify what is needed.

Checking in from Cinco Ranch in Katy. Some Neighborhoods out here have as much as 6' of water. Water continued to rise very slowly yesterday and then leveled off. Buffalo Bayou flows right through Cinco so that is what flooded all the neighborhoods. National Guard helicopters were airlifting people off roofs and boats from Arizona, Louisiana, San Antonio, and Austin kept bringing people out as well. People were getting out of boats and dump trucks with their lives in backpacks and grown men in tears. Volunteered all day yesterday sending addresses to boats to get people out. A bit overwhelming at times. Water stopped a couple hundred yards from my apts on Mason so I'm ok. People are still in these flooded neighborhoods and rescues continue to take place. Stay safe out there - looters are out, esp in the Memorial area. Boats were asked to come armed.

    Sun's out and it's a new day.

At this moment I have fared well. I think I have used up all my luck. Unfortunately my in-laws house which is right below the reservoir took on about 3 inches of water yesterday, and today I fear it is worse. I went there yesterday and waded thru the rapids which was their street to salvage some necessities (medication and such). Today going back to get them clothes and valuables since there are now reports of looters in the area. I believe according to the flood gauges, that they have taken on another 6" so that is going to be hard for them to take. For those interested, here is a list of the rain gauges and flood gauges throughout Harris county https://www.harriscountyfws.org/. Their particular gauge reports it is 5' higher than it has ever been since it has been recorded (1960)

Holler will be open today for regular hours. All taproom sales of Dollar Pils Y'all will be donated to Harvey Relief Fund. Its a particularly excellent Pils, so hopefully people in the area can drink that down.

Just checking this post out now. Ive been off BA since early last week - mainly due to the storm. Havent had much time to think about beer.

I LOVE seeing some of these familiar Houston BA members post on here saying they're safe (I mainly recognize you by your avatars)!

    Im here in Westbury/Meyerland area.

By the grace of God - we got NO water.

I generally panic anytime it rains. We've installed an elaborate french drain system in our yard. And, the neighbors and I stay on top of our sewer drains to prevent clogs. Its paid off this time.

My heart breaks for everyone here in Houston. But the out pouring of volunteering and donations has made me so proud to be a part of this community.

Houston BAs - let me know if you need anything! Ive got a working vehicle and access to now many open grocery stores.

Spring area. Water was inches from coming in the house. Cypress creek runs by my house and when they opened up lake conroe we got backed up and nearly flooded. We really had just accepted it. There was nowhere to go so we had a neighborhood bbq. The house 3 doors down got a few inches of water. I was very lucky.

Did not have power for a few days but my generac 5500 ran for what appears to be 71 hours nearly straight through. I am not sure if it is supposed to be used like that but impressive. Time for an oil change for sure. I ran 3 housed off that baby. Fridges and tvs fans and such.

I had plenty of beer and was not afraid to use it. Along with Houston I think I need to dry out a bit too.

I dont plan on going to work this week. I am going to see if my neighbor needs some help with the flood damage.

    Good luck everyone!
