Never seen any of their beers on tap or in bottles where I've drank/bought bottles.

Felt they were good enough to warrant an avatar change (a place holder until I find the photos I took of them a few years back).

If you fancy a trip down in June (or anyone else for that matter), I will be at the John Harvey Tavern with my wife and son for quite some time!

I hear Harvey's is very good, but since I live in the north of England I've never tasted a drop.

The thing to remember it's that the ratings for British beer on ratings sites are meaningless. I guess they're OK for American beers and just maybe Belgians, but not ours.

True, but I actually think compared to most British breweries the ratings are even more skewed for Harveys.

If anyone fancies a road trip down to Lewes, I will be there in June hooked up to an IV of dark mild.

I had Sussex Dark Mild today. Hmm. Better than Sammy Smith's Dark Mild I suppose.

I don't think Harveys travels that well.

I've drunk Harveys Best in West Kent/East Sussex pubs and really enjoyed it.

In the Market Porter it was decent but nothing more.

I always pay a visit to The Royal Oak when in London. Good honest ale.

Beers always excellent, food likewise, and they always have all the seasonal beers, even if they have to knock off the Armada to free up a pump.
Harvey's Sussex Best turns up on the guest beer circuit quite often, but it is a small brewery, with limited distribution.
They now have a second London pub: The Cat's Back, in Wandsworth SW18.

It's an old tale but I'll tell it again...whenever I'm in Greenwich I always head here ASAP.
Harveys Sussex Best, great bait and a proper pub atmosphere.

Finally managed to get my hands on this beauty again. Have to say its even better than I remembered.

Also had many pints of Sussex Best and their IPA during my trip. Cheers!
