All the recommendations say 10%+ ABV and sours are better aged. I know it's all more or less subjective, but I just got an 8/2015 bottle as a gift and the descriptions sound almost more like a fruity wine, which makes me think I should stash it for a while. Suggestions?

Have you ever tried it fresh? I have about 300 bottles cellaring and I always try the beer fresh first.

No, like I said it was a gift. I'm not typically one to drop 15 bucks on a single bomber, so I'm not sure I'll get to try it both ways, lol. I just wanted to maximize the experience if someone out there knew which way was best for this particular beer.

It's ment to be a fruit forward beer. You really don't want the berry flavors to fade. I found it very balanced when fresh. Drink it now

We went ahead and cracked it. Glad we did, you were right, it was fruit forward and very sour. Had that bit of fruitiness faded, I'm not sure what would be left! Thanks for the suggestion.
