Has anyone else noticed the increase in thread views?

Yes, we have had an explosions of new members. Hopefully they will be of a finer quality than many of the new members I have seen joining other fine beer activities.

 

Hadn't noticed but just took a look. I can't believe there has been that much of an influx of new members. I mean there are some pretty generic trades getting tons of views (i.e. Pliny for Heady with no responses, yet 5,000 views). And on the more popular forums (like this one), there are threads with tens/hundreds of thousands of views (and in some case millions).

My guess is some change to the logic.

 

Should those of us who are relatively new be insulted?

 

Must be counting bots or something like that, where perhaps it didn't in the past

 

Probably related to recent rule changes and the removal of the 30 day membership requirement.

 

america has been steadily leaning towards craft and i think we may be beginning to approach the numbers where things like that get noticed....bmc will always be king but in 2014 alone ive noticed a lot of people at work and at bars that are heading for craft....tons of restaurants in my area emphasize their craft selection on menus

Beer hoarders have created new bots that scour the net for ISO:FT threads. That way they can have all the whalezbro.

 

Where can one see page view information? I wasn't aware of such capabilities.

No, not at all. I referred to other social media, and folks met at pubs, in my post. BA, truth told, is a bastion of great beer folks, and I hope it stays that way as craft beer explodes in popularity, and the site becomes so much more popular.

 

I promise I didn't actually believe there was a new bot seeking out ISO:FT threads. Heh...

 

Obviously BA is prepping their media kit for some online AD sales push!

But seriously, crazy that page views have doubled and almost tripled ON AVERAGE almost overnight just from launching the app. I'm not too skeptical, more impressed.
