I think it was flawed before InBev then it became like water and was enjoyable and became my go-to cheap adjunct option (I rated it very high). Last I tried it, it tasted flawed again. I have no idea.

The story i always heard that it was a competition "come up with a slogan 50 words or less" or something like that. the "from the tanks of old latrobe..." was the winning slogan and the winner ended his submission with the "33" to signafy the number of words in his submission.

And besides, how many people on this website really care if Rolling Rock has changed?

The best part about drinking Rolling Rock in college (mid-1970's) is that guys would come into my dorm room. "Got any beer?" "Yeah - it's Rolling Rock" "Nevermind" It left more for me.:grinning:

Here's a portion of my beer can collection, mostly gathered from roadsides in the early 70's. The Rolling Rock "green grenade" can be seen on the top.

Has anyone tried the Guinness Blonde, brewed at the Latrobe brewery? As soon as I tasted it I thought: "Tastes kinda' like Rolling Rock", that was before I knew where it was brewed.

It still kills slugs!! my brother left half a rack at my house and I used it for soaking wood chips to BBQ and for pouring into bowls to kill slugs, so is it different, NO!!

not my favorite beer or even favorite AAL. SO I wouldn't know. But if you are looking for an AAL substitute I say go for Hamms or Schlitz.
