I was reminiscing with some friends about taking booze from our parents as teenagers. My parents had a smallish wine rack that I helped myself to once or twice. My good buddies dad had a liquor cabinet and we filled a fair share of water bottles with various, throat burning mixtures. It could have been Pappy for all we knew.

Now that Im into good beer and have a cellar, Im wondering if any BAs with teenagers have had something similar happen. Did your kid take your VR without knowing what they had?

Somebody (I'd say my kids, but I don't think they drink beer...maybe one of their friends or a neighbor kid) swiped a bottle of King Sue and a bottle of 120 Minute from my garage fridge.

My kid is 4 and while he's tried small sips of my beer (better than the cleaning chemicals he drank once!) and he doesn't like it. So I feel pretty safe about him not messing with my beer.

When he and his younger brother are older I would like to have a lockable beer cooler/ beer fridge.

I had visions of them trying it and saying "yuck" and dumping 'em out. That pains me to even consider.

While not my kids (my son is only two years old so I'm not worried about him……yet), I have had a few different high school kids watch my dogs while we went on vacation a few times. We do keep a good amount of beer (obviously) and liquor in the house at all times. I made sure to make it a point to say "Don't drink anything, but I'm also not an idiot so if you do drink something make sure it is not from these shelves. Your 'hook-up' will not be able to replace it before I get back, and you're not going to like it anyways." It has worked and I have never had any problems, but did come home to a few SNPA missing once - no big deal in my book.

Well, my six-year-old opened a can of one of the Grimm IPAs a few weeks back thinking it was root beer. She immediately realized her mistake, and drained the whole thing into the trash. So it can happen, for sure.

Well not my kid but dad opened my fridge and drank my Cantillon Kriek. He drank it straight from the bottle and left about 3oz left.
He said it tasted spoiled haha. Note my dad rarely drinks, if he does it's Heineken.

I don't have any kids of my own, but have had neighbor kids and kids at tailgate parties sneak a few out of my cooler. Nota big deal I never bring anything special. It's usually just snpa, tallgrass eight bit, or other cans that are under $10 a six.

"Swipped"? Is that a new beer lingo term? If so, it belongs on the other thread and I hate it already.

My kids didn't but last summer I made a Nightshift run and stashed it in my refrigerator. I bought a case of Bud for my wife's company softball game/ cookout the next day. She was leaving early to set up and asked if I got the beer for her and I said " it's in the fridge". A couple hours later I arrived to see a bunch of green and white cans all over the field and in typical softball/ cookout fashion more then 1/2 of them were 1/2 drunk. Next time I'll be more specific as to which refrigerator. I still have some Bud left from then, I give it to her boss when he visits. He complained about the Nightshift.

I've stuck my finger in a few beers and let my 2 year old daughter try it. She actually really likes sour beer. Its really no surprise to me. She loves black coffee. The sour thing is going to be an expensive hobby.

Several years ago my son and his friends came to visit during their spring break. I had collected Coors throwback cans with original artwork. There were many different cans and had to be opened with a can opener.
