Over the past two months, I've had cans a few days old-3 weeks old. (I've picked up cans in Hickory and Charlotte). I've enjoyed them thoroughly, even though they have not been what they were a year ago. Just my opinion though.
Had a can dated 6/25 the other day. Aroma wasn't nearly as pungent as it should be and the flavor was decent but just not the great-tasting IPA I remember it being before. Very disappoint.
I have fresh Zombie Dust, Jai Alai, and HDnR in the fridge right now, and the HDnR is by far the best of the 3 in my opinion. And for what it's worth, before this week I would have said that ZD and JA were my favorite IPAs.
I haven't had a bad can in a while, but I typically stay away from anything more than 2 weeks old due to the oxidation issues they were having. The aroma is not what it was before they started centrifuging it, but that's just the nature of larger batches. They can't afford to lose so much beer to the dry hop, so the aroma suffers a bit.
The nose was off , but the taste was actually horrible. I drain poured what I had. To NoDa - your committing suicide , please fix it. There's a lot of competation out there .
