Have you added coffee to stouts?

    Thoughts? Would it have to be cold pressed? Or could you just brew it, and put it in the fridge before adding it to your beer?

    Always interested me. i see a lot of people doing other stuff along these lines.

    My apologies if this has been asked before. I did take the time to search and only found it in the home brewing section.

    If you add brewed coffee to beer, you will dilute the beer (because you are also adding water). Better to add coffee beans.

    Frenched pressed in some fresh ground espresso beans into a few beers. Yes, it's basically a cold press and only do it for like 10 mins. Don't add the whole beer though as the oils will flatten the carbonation. Toasted coconut and some bourbon soaked oak chips also work well for pressing into stouts.
