    It has as much of an argument as French Pilsner, and more than Italian and this Polish pilsner nonsense that you brought up in another thread.

    FWIW I would prefer we called it a Pennsylvania Pilsner so somebody (Weird Al?) could come up with a spoof song based on the song Pennsylvania Polka.:beers:

    Cheers!

    Ditto for me.

    I voted "yes" because I definitely have bouts with palate fatigue, spells where everything sorta sucks. I typically stop drinking when that hits and take a week or two off. But a true "shift" or change where I start to enjoy new things and hate old favorites, no ... that's not happened to me excepting that I've learned to like things I didn't like at first (wild ales in particular). But like @Orca referred to, I think of that as an expansion, not a shift.

    I will drink any style and have preferences like anyone else but 10 years ago I was strictly IPAs. Got into English for a while. Then strictly dark beer. Nowadays it’s all European imports with occasional classics and AAL liek high life and I won’t say I can’t stand ipas anymore but it’s ok. More for everyone else and I’ll stick to what I know I enjoy. Cheers.

    @JackHorzempa
    I’m pretty sure Okocim on the packaging says “polish pilsner” on it and coming from polish family and talking with other polish peoples it gets referred to as the “Polish Budweiser”. I disagree but long story short I don’t believe Poland needs their own Pilsner category. Drink a Stella Artois or even a veltins (minus the sulfur) next to an Okocim and the similarities are certain. No need.

    Irish dry stouts first got me into imports then stouts. Not enjoying the dry stouts much these days. Was not a big IPA fan at first then ran through a bunch of brewers versions and began liking them. Today, I almost never purchase an IPA. My taste buds burned out on the bitter hops. Funny, I enjoyed a refreshing Red Stripe lager the other day more than the IPAs I have had in the past year.

    If you haven’t had a palate change you haven’t been drinking long enough. I’ve had 4-5 palate changes but I’ve always loved flanders/lambic/mix ferm/wild beers. one notable style that I sometimes can’t stand and another year I’m impressed is Weiss beer.
