Have you ever tipped someone with beer?

Yup. I tipped a pizza delivery guy with a beer not too long ago.

 

pizza guy, but only after i have had a few too many.

 

When I ripped out my carpet and put it out for the garbage man, I left him a six pack in a cooler. Since then, whenever I have a large item that I know is a pain in the ass for him, I leave him some beer. He has left messages of his appreciation for the gesture. Gotta take care of the people that git rid of your unwanted crap.

 

Used to do it all of the time when I lived in Germany

 

I still tip craft beer bartenders this way sometimes If I have recently been on a trip out of town or have gotten a box.
but there are some places where I wouldn't bring in outside alcohol to avoid any complications for the business.

I've tipped food delivery people this way too but i always offer them cash as well.

 

I've never had occasion to do it, but I think it's a cool move...

 

did you talk beer with him or just hand him a brown bag beer?
i can imagine a dedicated bud guy just tossing it thinking "I dont drink that craft stuff, no peach pumpkin crap only ice cold bud brewed the hard way for me"

 

Yeah, I guess I didn't think about it, but I tip bartenders with beer sometimes. On separate occasions, I bought and/or shared Fou Foune with bartenders. They have never complained! I still give them some cash as well.

 

I don't know any bud drinkers who would just toss free alcohol.

 

When I was in college, I tipped my Denny's waitress with one of the Busch Lights I was carrying in a cargo pocket. Not a proud moment, but I had to add my truth.

The hostess at Dennys that fine evening is now my wife. She's not the dumpster fire you might assume. That's a different story for a different time.

Was at a new small brewery in Jackson Michigan, the owner served me a beer and I tipped him a dollar and a Central Waters bourbon barrel stout. Just happened to have one on me!

 

Me too! Since I'm in MD I gave my pizza guy an Edmund Fitzgerald because that shits like gold Here! He drank it and enjoyed it.

 

Tipped a guy a 6 pack who helped jump start my car this winter when I didn't have any cash on me, also been tipped beer many times in my neighborhood when I snowblow someone's driveway out.....beer is a great currency.

 

I thought this said "have you ever tripped with beer"

Also, my A/C needs serviced and the guys at the AC repair shop said they couldn't be here for over a week. No tip for them.

 

Just like @ddedhed, whenever we had "obscure" trash, we'd leave a six pack by the curb. I think it falls into the "treat others how you'd like to be treated" mantra.

 

If you count some Presidente as a tip. Left it in the room fridge at a resort in the DR. After seven days, I was sick of it. Left daily cash tips,of course.

 

Oh yeah ... forgot about hotels.
I've left beer next to the housekeeper's tip envelope on many trips

 

I had gas put in. The workers after fixing the yard gave me a lot of soil,seed, and hay for over it. They could not take a cash tip, but could accept some beer. Beer well spent.
