I'm pretty sure I'll like it. Wanted one to drink with my cousin on Christmas Eve and another to revisit in a couple years

I've traded BCBBW to the same person multiple times. And he lived in Illinois...So don't always think that Illinois gets more than the rest of us.

And I've yet to trade for the same beer twice, but there are definitely beers that I would trade for again. I just don't have the ammo that I'm willing to part with for another bottle of Vanilla Rye.

I've traded for BCBS / variants several times. The only other beer I'd like to try again and trade for is Genealogy of Morals - my God, what a wonderful beer and experience it was for me! But I've yet to find success thus far.

Have a few. Had one last Friday. Big barrel and huge heat but balanced with dark fruits and caramel/brown sugar sweetness. Wish Pelican delivered to Illinois... amazing with 2 years on it. Much more complex. Need more.

Oh definitely. I love repeated experiences with beers I especially enjoyed. Additionally, given bottle variation, a beer can taste very differently from one time to another.

One of my biggest issues with whalez is that it's hard to know a beer deeply when you've only had it once & possibly had no more than a couple of ounces that one time. Given the scarcity of high demand small releases that's unavoidable but it's still a damned shame. I'd love to 'know' ANTEAD, Olde Rabbits Foot, SHBRL etc like I 'know' BCBS or De Garde Cherry Raz but that's just not possible.

Gotta love those First World problems.

In my first beer trade ever @ThirstyHungryLife held my hand, walked me thru every step, and answered about 100 of my noobish questions.

On top of that he sent me some great extras including Modern Times Blazing World. I absolutely fell in love with that beer and have traded for it on 3 serparate occasions since!

Have you had Steel Toe Lunker? Owner of Steel Toe spent some time at Pelican before he opened his brewery, heard it is similar.

The majority of my trading is definitely for beers I haven't had before, but if I like something enough I will most definitely try and trade for it again and again. Some off the top of my head that I went after a 2nd (or 3rd or whatever) time were: Huna, Julius, Backyard Rye, Fou Foune, Beat.

Then there's the cases of just knowing someone in a particular area and getting something multiple times that way. I have a buddy in Seattle that I trade with, so I get the Fremont stouts and B-Bomb every year for instance.

I trade for lone pint yellow rose all the time, traded for king henry multiple times. Classics are classics for a reason have no problem goin after world class beers imo time and time again.

I have traded multiple times for La Cumbre beers from New Mexico. I hardly trade anymore, but their Malpais Stout is always a temptation.

Lunker is craaaazzyyy good. I live a few hundred miles north of the Steel Toe distro so I don't see it on shelves here, but I've traded for it twice.
