Hay Merchant...wtf

    I believe this can happen and does happen anywhere that has a great selection of craft beers. I would say this is an isolated incident at Hay Merchant from my experience but I am not defending this incident at all. I can guarantee one thing for sure this sassy bartender attitude wasn't the first of its kind nor will it be the last of its kind. You handled it, just like I would have, roll on to the next destination.

    I came in from Dallas. Like I said, I'm over it at this point. The really cool thing was I was sitting at the PS telling this guy about it and the bartender overheard me talking. Not trying to cause a stampede, but this dude rolled into the walk-in and tapped a keg of something amazing and gave me a full pour. Then he quickly disconnected the keg and we all chatted for awhile. He explained that it was for a special release but he was happy to give me a pour. I liked the vibe in that place, which is why I went back and the second trip was just as good as the first. So I know where I'll be going when I come to Houston.

    Next time I gotta try the food, the stuff I saw rolling out of the kitchen looked great.

    I'm the opposite, the beards man, if you have one and can't change a tire or the oil on your vehicle, you have no fucking business having one........tattoos, who gives a shit about some stinking inking?

    anytime I've gotten the last pull from a tap that wasn't a full pour its been comped by the bar.. because its the friendly thing to do!

    The barkeep didn't handle that the right way.
