Hello Everybody, Does anyone have an idea of the hop combo for Tree House's Haze? I've done enough google searches and can't find any info really. I'm guessing Mosaic and Amarillo, but wondering other people's opinion. I wanna brew something sorts like it, cuz I know a clone is prob impossible.
I think even If you get the right hop combo figured out, you’re really only about 1/4 of the way there. Tree House hazies are purported to have a unique and secretive blend of yeasts that give it that unique flavour / feel. In addition, their brewing practices are likely incredibly tight with VERY low dissolved oxygen on cold side, which is a big deal in hops flavour expression in the finished beer. Another thing, Tree House has contracts to get some of the best quality hops available in the world, we as homebrewers certainly do not. Now, after sounding like a major bummer there, you can still brew a kick ass hazy: use a good yeast like London ale 3 or Conan, use any old combination of cheater hops (citra mosaic galaxy etc), dry hop big, and keep O2 exposure to a minimum when packaging, oh and for bonus points, crash yeast before final dry hop ! good luck !
