I'm 14 people from the register to buy bottles and they haven't rang anyone up in about an hour. Not feeling very confident right now.

Have fun waiting in line rookie. Lifetime Black Note Secret Society member I can order beer from my toilet and trade it for most of the things I want to try.

Odd Side just won't learn and that doesn't even matter. They'll still make tons of cash. Oh well...

Confirmed that it's sold out. Needed to get here about ~7:05am to get any. They are now doing 1 crowler per person plus everything else is still available

It's too bad limits weren't adjusted. Oddsides is such a cool place. Just wish they would have ran this release a little better.

I thought I heard this was hitting distro, maybe I'm wrong but maybe there's still hope.

In the past odd side has done a pretty good job with their releases. When they announced the limits I said to myself Hazel was going to go fast. I don't think anyone imagined it was going to go this fast, especially after there was only 600 cases of hipster last November.

With Bourbon County released the same day, I think that helped limit the volume of people at odd side on black Friday.

@joshflashgordon is pretty active on these forums, and I've never got the impression that he or anyone at odd side want to have so many people leave without an allocation. This is probably a good thing for the future as it will help them understand just how many people are after their reasonably priced BB stouts. I can't imagine they won't change things up a bit for the next one after this.

Ticketed releases are the way to go IMO, but there's more than one way to skin a cat.

Woke up around 5am. We debated going (3 hour drive) and decided to skip this round. We wouldn't have been there until 8:30 at the earliest. Would've been on the outside looking in at this one. Still have a few Hazels left from the Hipster release. These releases are getting more and more popular and populated. Question is, were most people going after the full five case allotment?

There is nothing to "learn". They brew and sell desirable beer. The purpose of making a product is to sell all of it at profit, which they did.

I don't get people trashing on the way Oddside does releases. I have been to several and they seem to go pretty smooth. Obviously there are going to be some unhappy people who do not get everything they want. That is what happens when you have a small quantity of a product that is in high demand. There is just not enough for everybody.

I heard lots of people in line talking about only taking a case or less, but did see some people loading up 5 cases.

I was one of the lucky ones. I was about the fourth to last Hazel purchase before the line stalled out for the hour. One of the Oddside employees told me that they were caught by surprise by the Hipster release and they got caught again. I'm not sure how many folks got Hazel's once they started selling bottles again but I'll bet it wasn't very much.

I counted that I was approximately #125 in line. Better than half of the folks walking out in front of me were loaded up with 5 cases of Hazel's (and other bottles).
