So I have had my pumpkin ale carbing since Saturday and I have poured a couple samples to see where the beer is in aroma and taste. However, no matter how hard i pour the beer, there is no head on the beer. Listed below is my recipe:

    7.5 lbs. 2-row
    2.5 lbs. German Munich Malt
    .5 lbs. Caramel 80
    .25 lbs. Caramel 60

Mashed in at 152 F for 60 minutes

    US-05 and fermented at 65 F

    What could be the problem?

Starting gravity? Final gravity? What adjuncts did you put into the beer? You called it a pumpkin ale, but nothing about that recipe says pumpkin.

Is it even carbonated? You need carbonation for head.

    Sorry,

    1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice
plus other individual spices that added up to about 2 teaspoons in total. By other spices i mean the pumpkin pie spices, i just left one out that is generally associated with pumpkin spice.

OG 1.054 and I don't remember the SG, (I didn't write it down, shame on me).

I'd say carbonation is about 30-35%

To amplify a little... CO2 makes foam. Proteins retain foam. You can't retain foam that hasn't been made.
