Headed to Anna Maria, FL

    Sometime next month I will be down visiting my folks in Anna Maria, FL. Any locals have advice on good bars and/or bottle shows to hit while down there?

    I tried to search 'Anna Maria' in this forum and didn't get any returns. Probably did the search wrong?

    Search Bradenton or Sarasota, while Anna Maria is beautiful if your looking for a good bar or bottle shop you will need to head off the island. The ABC on Manatee is nice and not far. Publix on Anna Maria should have CCB cans and you can bring them on the beach that's a nice way to spend a winter day. If you have transportation your not far at all from Tampa- around an hour North. Enjoy the beach.

    Lost kangaroo is a good bar on Main Street bradenton with craft beers. ABC on manatee as mentioned is good place to get some to go. Motorworks Brewery might be open by the time you get here. It's by Mckechine field. I don't think Darwin Brewing will be open yet. There is Mr. Beery bar in sarasota if don't mind the drive, it would probably take the same amount of time to get there as it would to reach CCB so the choice is yours.
