Headed to Chicago & FFF - any advise

Be on guard for more of the same if you ever go to Violet Hour, Drawing Room, Aviary, The Office, or similar places then.

Seriously, there's a strict sitting room only policy at some places. I'm honestly not sure what would happen if you tried to just bull-rush the bar at Violet Hour. I mean, it's not like hipsters get physical.

Also, cool on you for saying it was your bad. FFF's Yelp page is full of people messing up and blaming the pub staff instead of just acknowledging they overlooked something like a sign.

 

I would suggest drinking a boatload of Pizza Port Poor Man's IPA while at FFF. It's not often that the best beer on tap at the pub isn't brewed there.

 

Wait, did they finally kick that keg of Cut Throat from Finch's?!

 

Get a time machine and buy all the rare and KH you can. Win all trades.

 

I will be in Oak Park, IL this weekend. Where can I find FFF beers in that area or in a 10 mi radius.

 

Nearest Binnies would be a good start, and its extremely doubtful they will have Zombie Dust.

I'll be there on Friday at open. They don't have ZD for sale right now. I want to find somewhere near by that is carrying ZD to bring some back.

 

If you hit the cheese castle, have their grilled Brie cheese sandwich. Reedonkulus.

Yep. That could be why you kind of got the cold shoulder. They probably thought you were trying to sneek in. There's a sign that says "No Bar entry from the To Go area" or something to that effect.

There is almost always a line to be seated and you have to be seated everywhere in the pub. I don't know how many times I've been waiting to put my name in the the host/hostess and have someone push past me saying, "I'm just going to the bar". They learn real quick it doesn't work that way.

I'm just glad they finally have the To Go kiosk, what a clusterfuck that front door used to be. Still is, but now not as bad.
