Just looking out to you BA's for any tips or advice you may have to point me in a good direction for the best craft selections for carry out or restraunts/ brewpubs in the Duck area. Or possibly where to stop and hit up on the way as I am traveling from the Ft Wayne, IN area. Thanks and cheers!

I haven't been to Duck in a couple years, but when I went, Sweet T's is excellent choice for a craft beer shop and beers on tap. Also, the Harris Teeter in Duck has a decent selection of beer and wine. I believe Outer Banks brewing company is in Kill Devils Hill, which may be about 25 mins. from Duck. I haven't been there, but I've heard good things. Hope this helps.

Other than what was in the above post, I think the other spot is Chips.

There's a cool shop in Kill Devil Hills called Trio. They have a decent wine/beer selection, a great bar, and a very good staff.

Duck is way up there and depending exactly on where you're staying, fairly remote. Watch out for the attack ponies! I always have gone well provisioned for early in the stay, then wander southward a bit later to reload for the rest of the stay. From Nags head up there are nice shops and restaurants which you'll spot heading in. It's a beautiful region. Have fun!

Yep agreed, just 4ish miles past the turn off to Duck, stop at Trio and stock up. Chips is a few miles more about 6.5ish MP.

You'll be about an hour and a half south of Norfolk VA - and one of my favorite bars, The Birch. That's all I've got...

The big ones have already been noted (Sweet T's, Chips, Outer Banks Brewing Station and Trio). Depending on your route in, you will pass by The Weeping Radish in Grandy. Have heard good things but maybe I caught them on a good day. if you head over to Manteo, check out Full Moon Cafe; just recently (a year or so?) brewing their own beer in the English style. Hopefully this year, I'll have a chance to check out The Beer Garden (coffee house in the AM; beer garden at night) and a new place called The Crafty Cow (burgers and craft beers) which are both up in Corolla. Might be tough to hit all of these with the summer traffic. That's all I've got on my 'to-do' list for this year's visit. Then again, this year we're staying within walking distance of Sweet T's so that may be my daily pilgrimage.

From Ft. Wayne you should probably pass through the Raleigh Durham area. Check out Sam's Quik Shop in Durham. Buy all the beer you want to drink on the trip in Durham or Raleigh and take it with you.
