    I'll be driving to Fort Lee Army Base in a few weeks to see my son graduate from AIT. We are only staying one night and if possible I would like to hit up a decent bottle shop in the area. I know from searching the previous threads that Richmond is the place to go but don't know if there will be time. As always I'm looking for brews not available in my home state (OH). Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'm assuming we wouwould staying in Petersburg from looking at the map. Any suggestions in the area? Thank You!

    Bucket Trade in Enon, VA is the closest bottle shop to the base. It's about 10 minutes north of Ft Lee via I-295 on State Route 10. It's a small shop with 16 taps but there's plenty of local bottles and cans available to buy to go or consume on-site. They don't open until 4pm on weekdays, though. All of the larger bottle shops are in Richmond. Hope this helps. Cheers.

    @Eastside151

    If you absolutely cannot hit a bottle shop, the Class 6 on post has a small selection of local stuff (Devil's Backbone for instance). Further out but not too far away, you may find that the Food Lions have again, some locals. But please don't head there in lieu of actually getting to Bucket Trade. Just letting you know that if all else fails, you still don't have to leave empty handed. If you get time to wander further, you can take 95 north to Chippenham, run Chippenham straight to Forest Hill and hit Once Upon a Vine. Little further, but great selection. Likely a trip that would be best suited in early afternoon as to avoid traffic.

    By the way - congratulations to your son for AIT graduation!

    Thank you both for your suggestions for shopping. I have no idea what time we are getting into the area since we are driving in. Hopefully I will be able to stop on Thursday when we get into town. Thank you for the congrats as well, we are very proud of him and his decision to serve his country.

    if you're coming from the north on 95, Once Upon a Vine's MacArthur location is only a couple minutes from the interstate
