Quite close to the Cumberland here.

Nice! If you know of anything else in the area, I'd love to know.

Excited to check out the city!

You're still close to most or all of those mentioned. Nothing's yet off the table.

I'll offer my condolences when you get to the hideous sight of Princess Street. Years of chaos, work, incompetence and hundreds of millions of £ spent but there is still no tram network.
Once you cross over to Princess Gardens things should pick up considerably.

jmw is correct BTW. Your location puts you in pole position. And remember when you get to BrewDog remember than you can buy bottles (albeit expensive bottles) to take away if you want. See if they have anything from The Kernel. Always worth a go and a good marker as to where brewing is going in the UK.

I highly recommend Bow Bar as well, great place!
    Cloisters is also wonderful.

I´ll be in Edinburgh again this June, 21-15, if anyone wants to grab a beer.

    cheers
    Don

Wonderful, looking forward to it. Will also be heading to Bramble for a cocktail!

Nice one but I'll need to check my diary on that.

So far, so good. Had a few pints around town today, before walking (and getting lost) to BrewDog.

Had dinner last night at Bon Vivant and some great cocktails at Bramble last night, will be heading back there tonight, and the taxi comes at 3:45am tonight for my flight back to the US. Ugh.

    Scotland has been great.
