Headed over to VT this Friday to pick up some Lawson's. Are bottles guaranteed to be at the Warren store every Friday & should we be there early?
And is this ever something to look forward to- Maine Beer Co & Sean Lawson slated to create 750 ml bottles of Collaboration Time I Ale- sure to be a homerun.
    Cheers

I believe they just arrive randomly during the day of Fridays.

warren general store and the co-op in montpelier are both good bets. You don't need to be there when the doors open, but getting there earlier in the day never hurt. I went to the burlington spot last friday in the afternoon, they have a 1 bottle per variety limit. The double sunshine was sold out :slight_frown:

Yeah you don't need to be there right when the door opens. Last time, I arrived mid-afternoon on Saturday and there was still about 50% of Friday's shipment on the shelves.

Blonde ale if it's out will be $7. The basic range of their bombers at the market is $7-9, I believe when they have the maple fayston it's $25 and yes, the tripple and the farmhouse rye are both $30.

did a tasting this weekend of the following:
    Lawson's Especiale (2)
    Lawson's Double Sunshine (3)
    Alchemist Heady Topper(4)
    Alchemist Celia Saison (1)

first off, the first time I ever had Heady was (2nd batch ever, Sept 2011) maybe they were working out the kinks because now the beer lives up to all the hype and I officially take back anything negative I said before. secondly, Lawson's DS is such an incredible a beer, it rendered Heady, which followed in the order, almost insignificant. It eclipsed my memory of PtY and the only thing I could think of which could possibly challenge is Nugget Nectar at its absolute freshest and tangiest. Just a stupendous hop blend. Believe the hype

I also had multiple DS, HT, abner and session IPA especiale during the week-end, and didn't think HT was really behind DS in terms of quality. However, I'd drink the 3,7% dry-hopped session IPA from lawson's all day long, every day. Such a pleasant, hoppy thirst quencher... There's quite some competition among the double IPA top offerings, yet it's so hard to find a top quality dry-hopped session ale. Hope to see more beers of this kind brewed in the near future...
