Not sure it is limited to the barrel stuff either. Last time I bought a sixer of Anti-Hero at the taproom it was $9. Can't remember what the Binny's price is but I rarely see any retailer (except Target) with it less than $9.99. Overwhelming majority have it $10.99.

As a comsumer I actually love that it is cheaper at the brewery. Sorry, Adam.

Beer Temple in Avondale and West Lakeview has ton's. Capones also carries a lot, but they seem to be a little more expensive on other stuff. Not sure how they price PW. BA Jones dog maybe hard to come by, but would be a easy IP trade since it was releases like 4 or 5 times already.

I can totally see why it's nice to be able to get cheaper beer, but to Adam's point, it's a slight to all the retailers that are supporting their brand day-in and day-out, from Binny's to WLV, to 7-11.

New Glarus, for example will sell their beers for slightly higher at the brewery and mention that it's available for a little less in town. Then the local spots get increased New Glarus traffic and in turn Show NG more love.

this is looking to be the route i'm going to take. i may squeeze in West Lakeview Liquors unless you guys think it's a better option than something i have listed:

    1.) 3 Floyds
    2.) South Loop Binny's (1132 S Jefferson St / Chicago, IL.)
3.) Fischman Liquors (4780 N Milwaukee Ave / Chicago, IL.)
4.) Ardmore Station Liquors (405 N Ardmore Ave / Villa Park, IL.)
5.) The Beer Temple (3185 N Elston Ave / Chicago, IL.)

Convenience wise your kind of off, 3 floyed's why not, but once you get into the city, South loop binny's?... why hit down town if you don't have to on a Friday. I would do Lincoln park or West lake view Binnys, West Lake View Liquors, Beer Temple, then hit 90 to Fischman, then haul your ass to the Cheese curtain via 94.

Oh and don't listen to the quinnsi guy, I heard he gives out wales like dinner mints. What kind of "Beer Advocate" drinks and shares beer as opposed to hording it.

thanks for the heads up. 3 Floyds is optional. just going there for Teku glasses for a friend and maybe a few bombers if they have anything worthwhile. looks like Ardmore's kind of out of my way. does West Lake View Binny's have a better selection than Lincoln Park? i've been to Lincoln Park 15 times and rarely ever see Pipeworks

I never been to LP Binny's other than for KBS, I was in a hurry so didn't check out the beer section. Lakeview binny's has a solid selection, great pick your own 6 pack selection but other than that I've never seen anything there you couldn't get at beer temple or WLV, except maybe for some imports. Not saying BT and WLV don't carry alot of imports but they seem to sit at Lakeview Binny's.
