Had a stack of about five cases at the end of the Total Wine beer isle in Tampa, kind of hidden.

A 5 case end cap is kind of hidden?

Eh, in his defense I was in there this morning and walked right by it the first time without seeing it... I only saw it as I was walking to check out. Now, I'll admit I wasn't really looking for it either, but when I saw the display I grabbed a 4 pack.

That I can get behind. Just ask any of my employees how many times a day I ask them where the phone, stapler or calculator are when they are sitting right in front of me (or worse in my hand or pocket )

I think Head Hunter is a very good IPA, but i am not sure i will be buying it more than any of the others around i like. It will probably mix in with Jai Alai, Two Hearted, Sweetwater, Hopsecutioner, Centennial (soon), etc.

I don't see Head Hunter being appreciably better, but it is another in a long line of very good IPA's i can enjoy on a regular basis. Each is just enough different to keep it mixed up, that's the best part for me.

it's bitter as fuck and i guess that's what i'm into these days.

although the new batches of Jai Alai are blowing me away, too. we changed the recipe drastically.....or did we?

I do like the bitterness, that's one of the differences I like about HH compared to other IPA's we get around here.

What I LOVE about Jai Alai is, I don't think I've ever had an IPA that I've tried and said, "this reminds me of Jai Alai."

I could drink Jai Alai only and probably never get tired of it. I'm thankful still that I don't HAVE to. But I do try and always keep a Sixer in the fridge at all times...although lately it has become more difficult to do.

I have noticed a lot of great IPAs become more bitter and have a thinner hop character with time/exposure. I was wondering how this one would fair with travel through the 'Dirty (Hot as shit) South'. I will give it a shot but sounds bitter, which is my least favorite part of an IPA/DIPA/TIPA/QIPA/PIPA/HIPA.

The 2 four packs i drank were a week old, i am not sure it gets more bitter/less hoppy in that time frame.

Hmm, I guess I will have to pick up on my "taste testing" to help society find the answer to this problem!

There is no problem really, people just have different palates.

I agree. It's aggressive but smooth and has a clean finish. Delicious.
