If you're taking 195 and passing over the Bourne Bridge, you technically pass through South Plymouth. Google maps that shit.

There is zero chance that Plymouth could be considered on the way to the Cape from CT especially factoring in the traffic you would add by diverting there.

Been to the Cape 50+ times, never been to Plymouth. It is close though for the boundaries of the town, it's huge. Learn something everyday. Over the Sagamore you can't miss it. Long story longer, the suggestion of Eastham to Plymouth is still a bit of a stretch.

Guys, I live by the canal. It takes ten minutes to get from the Bourne Bridge to Cedarville Liquors in Plymouth. That's nothing when other people in this thread are recommending the half hour trip from Eastham to P-Town.

But he will likely go to P-Town anyway. He probably rented a house, which means he will come Saturday and the Bourne bridge will be backed up for miles (and the Sagamore even more). Nobody with any sense would detour to Plymouth and make the wait even longer. There are good stores on 6A in Brewster (Luke's), a good one right on 6 at 134 (Liquors and More). All would be easier. There are a bunch in Orleans he will go right by, but I don't know them well.

and a Lukes in west Harwich on 28, and yes, Cranberry Liquors in Harwichport is the bomb, but watch the expiration dates on some bottles. What you saw in the fall might still be there come June….

Shhh, if everyone finds out Rt. 6 is like 4 miles from Cedarville, they'll clear it out on us. Let them snap up all that old stuff further down.

The cape is a big place in the summer..so it's hard to make recommendations that span the cape.
We have a beer Finder on our website. If they have our beer there is a pretty good chance they have other craft beers.
The person who said the cape is behind the rest of the world is not totally inaccurate. Its a place that is slow to change.
There are some craft centric places. ..and some great places that serve craft beer.. Close to Eastham...you'll get a nice meal at the fairway..and great donuts at hole in one,..Marconi beach bbq has amazing BBQ and many of our beer on tap..VRs has great food too... And if you're feeling courageous try Karoo... Local break has great food and rotating lines..and town center package is small but mighty. In Wellfleet we live Pearl and mac's shack...and winsslows tavern..and the lighthouse...oh so many great places..so little time,,I am sure I am forgetting some good ones...

Craft beer centric..nor'easter beergarden and the new 1620 brew house on Provincetown are your craft beer bars on that end,,,elsewhere..BRitish beer co...flynn's ..driftwood and new world tavern...

Orleans has some great choices too,,,windmill liquids..sunbird..knack..landho is classic cape cod...old jailhouse..yardarm...all have their charms...really too many to make recommendations ...

Two breweries ...ours and devil's purse. Haven't been to their yet...limited hours ...we're open weekdays 10-6 and sat 11-3. Friday's we host a farmers market...3-6pm. Check our website for other events...

Bottom line: If you come to cape cod expecting a city beer scene you will be disappointed. Come..enjoy the scenery and local food and beer for what it is..unique to cape cod, you'll love it,

    Questions,, email us info(at)capecod(dot)com

    Cheers
    CCB

Haha, this is a weird pet peeve of mine. Someone asks a question about beers where they're going to be and someone gives them suggestions about places within a few hour ride. Happens all the time.

"Hey, if you're going to be on the Cape, Tree House is also a two-hour ride. Totally worth it. Swing by Armsby Abbey too on the way home. Then Julios and then Trillium."

When I'm on vacation somewhere, farthest I'm going is the length from my porch to the water. If I need more beer, not leaving town.

Admittedly, depending on where in CT the OP lives, and the route taken, Tree House and Armsby (and therefore Julio's for bottle shop) may not be far off the track - if they take 84 or 384 to the Pike, it's not far off. If they take 95 the whole way, then yes, it is not really feasible.
I know there are a couple new breweries open in Rhode Island, but I don't know where they are, in relation to the highways.
There is also a couple breweries in southern MA, like Bog Iron in Norton. Haven't had any of theuir beer, so I don't know how they are and if they are worth going out of one's way, but they are there. I know there are a couple good bottle shops down that way, like Nikki's, and Yankee in Attleboro.

This was actually less about this thread than others. Just take a look for yourself.

"I'm going to be in Milford, CT this weekend. Any good options?" "Yes, Tree House is only an hour and a half away."

"I'm headed to Portland, Maine, give me some ideas!" "Drive an extra 20 minutes to Maine Beer! Head 35 minutes south to Kittery and hit up Tributary and then Carl's then the Black Birch and then the Portsmouth Brewery! While you're there, take an extra 30 more to go to the Ale House in Amesbury for dinner!"

"Coming to Boston!" "Rent a car, or take the train to Worcester. Then hitch a ride with a stranger to Tree House."

Thank you everyone for your help. There is a few places that sound somewhat promising. Either way I will be bringing my own coolers of heady, tree house, and nebco brews.

On a side note...if there is anything someone wants from Philly, I would be willing to do a trade...Tired Hands, Iron Hill, Neshaminy Creek, etc

I'm headed to Brewster next week, do all these suggestions still apply or is there anything a little further up closer to me that I can hit up. I will have a car but would prefer joints within a bike riding distance. Thanks all

Luke's Liquors has you covered in Brewster as far as liquor stores go. It's solid.

Luke's is solid, but as with everywhere else on the Cape, make sure to check for freshness. I can't think of any restaurants or bars in Brewster worth checking out for their beer selection - the Woodshed is fun if you like divey places with cover bands, crowds of all ages, and drinking rail liquor and cheap Bud draft half-pints, but I don't think you will find anything more interesting than Harpoon IPA. Sesuit Harbor in East Dennis might be close by and does good clam shack/lobster roll food right on the water with BYOB, but gets huge crowds.

Not on a beer topic, but if you are in Hyannis and like baseball, see if there is a Cape League game in town. The field is a block off the harbor. Great competitive baseball in a really small venue.

Many towns have teams. Orleans, Falmouth, Chatham, Harwich, Brewster I don't recall if Eastham does.
