Heading down from Chicago end of march. Staying on isle of palms. Need to stop for provisions including of course beer. Where would you stop? Oh there are also little ones to deal with as well. Piggly sounds like the spot but which one?

If you want to check out a good beer bar I recommend closed for business

Def. check out CHSbeer.org you can find all the spots you want to hit listed under the 'Places' tab. CBX is a must do when you are downtown... that other beer rating website says its the best bottleshop in the country. The Griffon pub is right near there too and they have a decent selection of craft taps. I would not recommend the Blind Tiger for craft beer specifically.
Also, not sure about the Piggly Wiggly on JI, but the 'Northbridge' store in W Ashley has about 90 taps on their growler station with reasonable prices. As for bottles though, CBX and Total Wine seem to have the best selections. I also think Holy City is worth the visit along with COAST and WB. I hope to go back and re-visit all of them. (Haven't been to Palmetto yet.)

The piggly wiggly on the ISle of Palms connector is a good one. Nice endcap at the end of the beer aisle full of cool stuff. The bomber selection in particular is (.)(.)

The Maybank one seems to have a better selection than Harborview, but both are better than the Folly one.

The HT is probably equivalent to the Harborview Pig.

I just got back from a two-day stay in Charleston, and took some of the advice here.
I was there on Monday/Tuesday, so unfortunately Coast/Westbrook/Palmetto were closed, but I stopped by Holy City and tried their brews. The Pluff Mud Porter in particular was quite good. Deserving of that GABF medal.
Went to Closed For Business for dinner. Good food, good beer. Had the Palmetto Espresso Porter, which was great.
I also went to check out the Beer Exchange. They helped me find a nice bock that my girlfriend loved (Weihenstephaner Korbinian, for a very affordable $3.29).
Shortly before leaving we got a pint at Mac's Place on East Bay Street. I had a Kind Red; nothing exciting, but it was on special for $2. Decent place, but nothing that really sets it apart in my opinion.
We had meant to check out that Piggly Wiggly, but by the end of our trip I was sick of Charleston (mostly its parking) and just wanted to leave. Maybe next time.
