    Going to try out some new places, so have been looking online at the breweries taplists.
    I am also a pretty avid homebrewer and was looking at Hoops Brewing beers and had a few questions;

    The Hoops Pale Ale (No. 15) uses Amarillo hops for bittering and their IPA (No. 21) uses Mosaics for bittering. Why in the world would a brewery use those hops to bitter with? Sort of a waste of those two specific hops?

    Maybe their pale ales are bittered entirely by a whirlpool addition.

    If it has high Alpha Acid % they shouldn't need to use that much. I did an all Citra beer once and it didn't come out right but used Mosiac bittering and then Citra for aroma/flavor and turn out very nice

    I as just up last weekend with the family, Bent Paddle just opened their new space. Very nice overall, busy you can find a table but may take you some time. Nothing out of the ordinary on tap but quite a few selections of things on Nitro if that is your thing. DSDB on tap as well. Hoops definitely worth stopping by. Beers are very much to style (BJCP) and traditional styles you don’t see much. Stopped by Fitger’s because it was on the way to the hotel but didn’t stay long, at the time nothing on tap caught my interest.
