Anyone here been to Lubbock lately? I'm looking for a good beer bar/brewpub. The only brewpub I found is Triple J-the last review was over a year ago and most other reviews are decidedly mediocre. Just wondering if anything has changed since the last time I was there a couple of years ago. Thanks in advance-Rick.
I first want to apologize for responding so late to your thread but I wanted to comment on it anyway. I lived in Lubbock for a year and a half and there is a nano-brewery on the outskirts of town in a small town called Wollforth. It's a 7 barrel brewery named Wicked Beaver. It's run by two local homebrewers and they are making solid beer. Next time you are in town give them a visit and say Giles sent you. There is also homebrew shop called Sograte BBQ & Brew and the owner is always looking to have a beer with unexpected travelers. Be sure to support Wicked Beaver and spread the word because they deserve it. West Texas is trying its best to break new ground in the Texas Craft Beer Industry.
