The family is heading to Oxford, Michigan (from Ohio) the first weekend of November. Any suggestions of beers to checkout not available here?

After I posted this I read a thread recommending Seekabrew.com definitely worth checking out. Still would like suggestions on specifics, pretty much try anything, just not a big IPA fan.

They will pass by Kuhnhenn, so you could have them drop in and pick you up a growler of Michigan Mud or Creme Brule. Other than that, most any Short's or Brewery Vivant are good to pick up.

There's a little beer/ wine shop in "downtown" Oxford that occasionally has a few gems. I've found two year old JP La Roja, a bunch of Night Stalker, etc. It's called Oxford Wine and Beer, right on Main Street/ M-24. Check it out and see what they've got.

But absolutely hit Kuhnhenn, it's a wonderful, wonderful place.

I would give a plug for Original Gravity in Milan if you come up 23. They brew a solid lineup and usually have some interesting speical/hi grav beers.

But definately hit up Kuhnhenn. World class. But be ready for big beers.

If you're planning on going to Kuhnhenn you could go right down the street to champagne's to buy stuff, they have quite a selection. I also heard they are expanding their beer section, which was already pretty big to start.

He does have a small section of singles but generally just 4 or 6 packs I think, though Ive never asked for a single out of a six pack either.
