Heading to N. VA / DC

    I'm going to be in Fairfax from 6/26-7/3. Coming in from NY/CT area. Looking for some recommendations (bottle shops or bars) in the area. Many thanks

    Whole Foods Fair Lakes is a good spot for beer. They also do growlers.

    Aside from Whole Foods Fair Lakes (check out the Facebook page, Whole Foods Beer Market), here are some other options in Fairfax or very close to Fairfax:

    - Total Wine Fairfax (the Trader Joes right next door has some decent stuff as well, lots of Hardywood)
    - Wegmans
    - Oakton Wine Shop, they fill growlers and have a twitter feed
    - Norms in Vienna, really nice selection, check out their Facebook page
    - Whole Foods Vienna, not quite the selection of Fairfax but they also fill growlers

    There aren't any great craft beer bars in Fairfax but if you like Irish pubs, I'd recommend Auld Shebeen. They have a few local taps and usually a couple others. The Green Turtle across the street has some craft taps as well.
