I will be in Niagara Falls for a week visiting the inlaws and was looking for some recommendations for all things beer related - bars, bottle shops or certain beers to look for that I cannot get in Michigan. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Not really sure of anything in Niagara Falls but in nearby Buffalo your best bets for stores are Premier Gourmet, Consumers, and Aurora Brew Works. In terms of brews to watch out for that you don't get in MI I'd say Firestone, Maine Beer co, New England Brewing co. Bars, again in Buffalo, Blue Monk, Coles, Mr. Goodbar, Aurora Brew Works.
There's a couple places in Lewiston, just north of Niagara Falls, worth checking out. Brickyard BBQ and The Village Pub. Both would be good for famlies. As far as bottle shops go, the Consumers in West Amherst, Transit or Sheridan dr. would be better than the one in the Falls. A great thing about Western New York is that nothing is really that far away. Take the 190 acrosss Grand Island and you're close to Community Beer Works,Coles, Goodbar, Blue Monk. Enjoy your stay.
