I'll be heading into the city next weekend for a little birthday celebration. Plan on driving down into CT (New Haven area) and taking the train in from there. Few quick questions: 1. What's the CT growler policy, brewery glass only? 2. Any good stores worth hitting in the New Haven area, perhaps a chance at Sea Hag or some other popular CT cans? 3. I have some places in mind to visit in NYC (Blind Tiger, Proletariat) anyone know if I'll be able to find any Grimm cans to take home? Thanks!
You can fill any glass in CT. Doesn't have to be from the brewery except for 2 Roads I believe. NEBCO fills any glass and usually has Hag and Bot on tap as well as a bunch others. You should be able to find cans of Hag and 668 around but are unlikely to find Bot or Stout Trooper. Best to hit the brewery. Someone.from New Haven can fill you in on local stores. Enjoy!
What he said + depending on timing you *might* be able to get Sip, Captain's Daughter, etc. Amity is probably the best shop and it's right by NebCo.
If your coming through with some Tree House or Trillium then I would do a quick IP. I have some Pioneer Trailblazer (the new IPA getting the hype lol)
Thanks for the input fellas... I'll be coming down 95 in the AM next Saturday, was thinking of hitting NEBCO at 11. Hopefully some good cans will be hanging around. I am from Canton so I have Trillium a plenty!
Yep that's correct they will fill any glassware, only hitch is they use swing top 32's so if you bring a screw cap 32 make sure you bring a cap because they don't have them. Cheers...
