Heading to Raritan, NJ ==> Suggestions?

    Hey Mid-Atlantic BAs,

    New England guy here heading to Raritan, NJ and wondering if there are any breweries, bottle shops, bars, beers, etc. close by I should check out. I'd be forever grateful for any feedback, helpful or not. Cheers!

    Depending on when you are going to be there, definitely Conclave. Also a little bit of a drive would be to Brick Farm Tavern in Hopewell for Troon and the Referend in Pennington for some awesome sours.

    Demented and Flounder are the closest breweries. Conclave and Lone Eagle are a bit of a drive.

    Bars: Tapastre and Project P.U.B. in Somerville, Sol Mexican Cantina in Branchburg, Capital Craft in Green Brook.

    Bottle shops: Super Saver, Wegmans in Bridgewater, Bottle King, Petrock's and Gary's in Hillsborough, Buy Rite in North Plainfield (also does growler fills).

    If twp then conclave, Troon/brick farm and referendum apply for breweries as others already noted. If borough then those are ~30 mins away. In which case you can also get to Twin Elephant in Chatham in about 30 mins too.
