I'm going to San Fran over the Memorial Day holiday. Can anyone suggest a bottle store near the Fisherman's Wharf area where I can get some Russian River?

I think the best bet is City Beer Store but not sure if they have Pliny. But if you can't find it in bottles, you can get it on tap at Toronado.

Closest to the Wharf is The Jug Shop on Pacific and Polk. They get Russian River every Wed. Also, many of the Whole Foods locations have Pliny. Toronado ALWAYS has Pliny (and a RR sour or Blind Pig IPA) on tap 99% of the time, they are on Haight, near Filmore. Also make sure to pick up a Knee Deep Simtra Triple IPA if you can. One of the best West Coast DIPA's out there.

This is probably not very helpful info, but a Bay Area BA sent me some San Fran stuff called Big Daddy and White Knuckle. Excellent beers, if you have the chance to try them out. As much as I enjoyed the Pliny and Sculpin he sent me, you would do well to check these out.

Chinatown... Red building on Grant. Go to side door, knock three times. Ask for Su. Tell him you seek very good fortune.

There is a liquor store right down the street from Rogue that almost always has Pliny - it is located near Washington Square in Little Italy, fairly close to the Wharf...

feel free to shoow me an email if you have questions

Cask on Third street near Market street usually has Pliny.

I'm actually going to SF over memorial day weekend to. From the other threads that I read about SF, it seems like City Beer and Toronado's are the places to go for beer. I'm gonna make a trip to Russian River the Tuesday after Memorial day.

Cat's Head BBQ delivers to City Beer. Toronado/Rosamunde is a good food combo too. Same with Church Key/Golden Boy. You can also do the Mission Grand Slam and hit Pi Bar, Rosamunde for beer and sausage, Zeitgeist and Monk's which usually has a good taplist (although it can be a zoo).

BM me if you wanna know where to go for bottles.

Appreciate all the info...not necessarily looking for Pliny though since I've already had it. Looking for others from them.

Public House always has Blind Pig on tap, among a host of other beers. You can get the RR Belgians and Sours at most of the reputable bottle shops (City Beer, Healthy Spirits, Jug Shop, Ales Unlimited, Whole Foods).

Go up to 4th St, about 20 minutes and hit up Whole Foods. Pliny and Pig fresh and 4.69 per bottle.

    Cheers,

Appreciate it...I'm going to hit up Whole Foods, the Jug Shop and Total beer (it is a family getaway so I can't travel too much for beer!)
