What are some can't miss spots while I'm in town?

Also hitting Portland later with eyes set on Cascade, Deschutes Brewpub, and HotD.

    Cheers!

Sorry, but I'm going to have to heartily disagree with Taphouse Grill as a must-hit. I usually recommend that BAs avoid this place. While the 150+ taps might seem impressive at first, the place is not good. Service is bad, they have a reputation for dirty taplines, and (based on the few times I've been dragged there for work-related events) I've never had a fresh IPA. There are just too many craft beer places in town than to recommend such a corporate hole.

My favorite thing about the Taphouse is they don't list prices for any of the beers so getting the tab is always a treat, especially when they charge ridiculous amounts of money for beers that were brewed locally or are easy to find. Awesome place, highly recommended!

You are both right. I hesitated to recommend Taphouse, and then decided to only based on with 150 taps there is always a good find there. But I will agree it is corporate and spendy. So I retract my recommendation.

    +1 on the no taphouse

    Beveridge Place Pub
    Mutiny Hall

I'd normally recommend The Burgundian, but the more i frequent the less and less i enjoy the beer selection.

How is Mutiny Hall? I haven't checked it out yet but it seems awesome. I live within walking distance of Noble Fir and Brouwers so I find myself never really checking anything else out.

Mutiny Hall is good, but they're still working out the kinks. Stopped in for a drink a couple weeks back and then had dinner there with the wife and kiddo a couple Fridays ago now. Cascade Apricot and The Abyss 2011 were on tap when I was there. I'm totally stoked with Elysian Tangletown, Latona Pub, Mutiny Hall, Big Time and Burgundian all within walking distance of my house.
