Hey fellow BA's I'm heading from Pittsburgh to Tampa next week on a golf trip, staying in ybor city. I am looking for suggestions on places to visit (besides cigar city as that's already on my list). Looking for bars with good food and great beer selections. I looked in the places section but there's too many and I couldn't find a way to view or sort all the ratings at once.

    Thanks and Cheers!

Datz Deli, The Independent, Mr. Dunderbaks & Mellow Mushroom should all do you right in the food/beer department.

New World Brewery, not a brewery actually, right there in Ybor.
Mr. Dunderbak's in N. Tampa. Unmatched taplist and great food.
Mermaid Tavern and/or The Independent in Seminole Heights, not far from Ybor.

P.E.G.S. Cantina is supposed to be very good, though I've never been. Give it a shot if you have the chance.

If you have a car, you should head over to 7th Sun in Dunedin and Dunedin Brewery (they are with in walking distance from each other). Took me about 30 min to get there from CCB last time I went.

You could also hit up the third 'point' of the Beermuda Triangle, Dunedin House of Beer! Within walking distance, as well.

Also any of the World Of Beers will have a decent selection of beers available in the Distro

if you are stayign in ybor, i would highly recommend hitting up the colombia restaurant. they may have CCB stuff there, but i remember they had ybor gold, which was a pretty good beer. the food is top notch. get the 1905 salad, and i recommend the paella.

At the columbia you're not really going to find a good beer selection but their food is amazing. They also have their own bourbon (130 proof I think).

New World Brewery isn't a brewery but they have a decent tap selection, including some Belgians. If you're there during the week, they have a BBQ buffet of freshly smoked meat for $6.50 a pound from 11(?)am till 2 or 3 I think.

As the others have said, TBBC is worth a visit.

The James Joyce has about 20-30 taps as well.

The Bricks, while not a huge selection, they occasionally have some pretty good stuff.

All of these places are on or near 7th ave in Ybor.
