    Hey all-

I'm starting a brewery so I'm making the rounds on as many breweries as possible. I'm trying to track down one of the Floyd brothers' emails as to ask to meet them at the brewery and talk shop, etc. Anyone happen to have it or have any advice?

    Thanks,

    Phil

Are you going to have badminton tournaments at your brewery? Will you use shuttlecocks with shuttlecock heads made from hop cones?

Note: I'm only asking becusae I saw your avitar.

Hell yes. We're actually going to use badminton racket handles as tap handles.

as for your second Q: Obviously. Our team is currently working on creating a large, rubbery hop cone to use in tournaments. Patent pending. Wish us luck!

Where in Kansas are you opening your brewery?

Also, please get me some Zombie Dust and I will become a regular patron of said brewery. Just kidding*

*disclaimer: only kidding if you think I'm being ridiculous

KCMO actually. I'm Leawood born and raised but KS laws make it too difficult to not go across state lines. Find us on FB/twatter to follow our progress.

And where are you in KS? I'll bring you some ZD if you're around town.

Depending on which route you are taking I would personally say forget 3 Floyds. Try contacting Crown Brewing in Crown Point, IN. Head Brewer Steve and the new owners have done wonders for that brewery. Just my opinion.

You should also check out a series of podcasts Jamil Zainasheff did called Brew Strong. There are several recent epissodes devoted to the ins and outs of opening a brewery. You can find it on itunes or at thier website at http://thebrewingnetwork.com/shows/Brew-Strong

I'm in Roeland Park, so I'll definitely be on the lookout. And if the ZD isn't too much of a pain to get, I will find you and purchase it from you. But don't go killing yourself--I was only half serious.

I'm almost certain it's available all year long and is quite easy to get if you're in the area. Is this incorrect, anyone?

Most definitely incorrect. If you are lucky to be around when it is released then yeah but I think on average it has been selling out within a couple days.
