I'll be heading up to Hartford (CT) this Friday, and I figured I should pick up something decent while I'm out and about (it's over an hour drive). Any advice on what stores I should hit up? I would love to get some Gandhi Bot (we get some NEBCO down in SE CT, but not GB), at a minimum; I know I'm not going to run across anything special, but if you guys (and gals) know any good spots I should definitely check out? I plan on stopping by East Side for dinner, while I'm in the area.
Maximum Beverage and Harvest Wines seem to have the highest scores on BA. When I drove to Hartford from MA (a week ago), I was not disappointed in either one. Plan B Burgers had 4 Stone beers on tap, including Ruin10 and limited batch Habanero Ruin, along with 8 others. Other than that, haven't noticed anything special around the city... Now, if you said "New Haven"... Drop me a private line if you want specifics on interesting deals.
It's a batch of Ruination with a bit of Habanero. You can taste the pepper on the finish for sure, but it's not overwhelming. I went for Ruin10 on tap instead. But Ruination and Arrogant Bastard are perpetually there as well. Monday is half-price bombers, but you won't be there Monday...
