    Hoping to get some 2014 Fou when it hits the US. Whats a fair ratio here ? Thanks

    12-16ish? it will be expensive here and hard to find here. IME you are best off eating intl shipping and finding a good euro trade partner

    Would the ratio be different if I traded Heady US vs International ?

    I think if you can find a good Belgian trade partner (someone who has access to one around there) then it certainly should be. Fou is desirable but it's like $10 at the brewery and should be available for like 2 months or something like that.

    you need to come up with a bigger deal to justify the shipping but in the end it should work out for both parties. only problem with Heady is that you won't want to be shipping a ton of it bc intl shipping gets expensive. but like I think you could ship a bottle of something like...Darkness and do 1:1 with Fou intl. or some limited or brewery only $15 stout here...that is basically the equivalent of Fou over there

    does not compute

    it will be MUCH more expensive to get it overseas. the correct part is that it will be hard to find here :wink:

    So what do you think a fair ratio is of fresh Heady to Fou ?

    with a U.S. trader? or overseas? @HighLowJack is right though, if you do a bigger trade, the s/h becomes much better and your "per bottle" costs will be much lower.

    my best guess?

    U.S. = 16 Heady : 1 Fou
    overseas = 4 Heady : 1 Fou (but I have no idea, haven't traded int'l since 2007)

    ha I guess I mean shipping int'l is expensive but ultimately worth it if you consider the value of the bottles you need to trade to get nice limited bottles back. especially for someone like me who doesn't have a whole basement filled with Assassin and the like - I can trade nearly $4$ things like Black Note and KBS or Anna (nice limited bottles) for Fou or a LP. it works out well for both parties.

    its just like trading domestically though, there are plenty of guys in Europe who expect to trade a Fou for a Prop bc thats what they see on these boards...but of course that wouldn't make sense bc I could do that here. But I could probably send a Parabola or certainly a Backyard and get a Fou which makes the extra shipping cost worthwhile IMO. the key is like here, having good trade partners.

    oh I completely agree, but that's what I would consider fair. too bad traders who think like me are a dying breed

    I've seen cherry rye trade for heady. Prop for heady.

    People don't want to believe that quantity deals every happen but... They certainly do.
