Message me when you get a chance. I've never had heady and live about 10 minutes from SNA. Probably can't make it to LB but a meet up time might be able to happen today at some point when your flight gets in.

The better question is why do you feel the need to white knight retailers illegally selling beer?

And if your trades consist of you illegally selling beer, you just might be doing it wrong.

It creates an unfair advantage for other retailers that don't openly violate federal and state law. It's only a matter of time before the ATF, BOE, ABC, and the rest of the alphabet soup is in one of these stores.

I've posted to this effect in another thread, but I never did understand this mindset.

If it's creating enough of a disadvantage to "honest" businesses, why don't those businesses call to complain? I can understand that they might not want to do it on the record and draw attention to themselves, but at least do it anonymously? If they're not doing that, then it can't be that big of a deal (or beer stores are terrible business people, which I suppose is equally likely).

As solely a consumer, why should I care if a store is buying and reselling beer illegally? I think a lot of distribution laws are anachronistic and meaningless, why do I care if I help places break those? I certainly don't have any moral objection to breaking these laws.

I'm gonna wave the white flag here, the last thing I want is to stir up a bees nest of indignation and foot stomping. I genuinely don't want to start a BA pissing match. I was simply trying to point out the you seemed to make an argument based on the legality of selling beer not distributed in a certain area but are ok with trading across state/county/distribution lines? To me, that distinction seems self serving and hypocritical but that's just my opinion, brosuf.

    Cheers!

I can't speak for other shop owners but I wouldn't call ABC/ATF to complain because I think the punishment is unfair. I don't think it should cost them their business. Plus, I think that the gov will catch on eventually (if they haven't already).

Also, it isn't that big of a deal for certain people. I have enough stuff to where I don't need to advertise out of distro beer to get attention. They're also not in my area and I'm doing just fine without stirring the pot. So I don't really care. Besides, nobody is going to get rich selling a few cases of hooch.

As a consumer, I don't think you should care.
