I've been on the hunt to find this brew, no idea where I can find it or if they even sell in Ohio

You wont find it out of vermont, heck most people in vermont have a hard time finding it!

Exactly. Alchemist doesn't distribute out of state. Best bet would be to setup a trade with a local

That may be the saddest thing I've ever heard

Well many people before you have wept for the same reason. Ive had a friend visit vermont 3 times in the last month all in which were unsuccessful.

I feel like you haven't been on the hunt for this brew if you didn't realize how exclusive it is.

It isn't that hard to find in Vermont, it is just a matter of being willing to wait a half hour in line.

    This

My non-craft beer parents just came back from Vermont yesterday. Even they stumbled across some and called to ask if I wanted it. Said no to that and instead got 3 cases of Hill Farmstead/Grassroots and some Lawsons

its just an IPA, you have IPAs that are better or at least as good in Ohio. dont kill yourself trying to get Heady Topper. i trade for some every now and then for some fun variety or to share but its certainly not worth giving up the farm for like many people seem to do.

Lines at the store. The brewery stopped retail sales in the beginning of the year(roughly).

Agreed, in ohio you get head hunter which is crazy good. Don't freak out trying to get it, its really good but unless youve tried most ipas you wont be able to tell how much better it is anyway.

It's more than just an IPA. When fresh, only Abrasive will top it (in my opinion of course). It has an extra level of hoppy and bitter depth that nothing else out there has.

I do agree that the hunting of limited beer isn't the most fun thing in the world, but Heady isn't that hard to get. Something high-rated and/or limited should have a good shot at landing some. I've traded shelf New Glarus stuff for it multiple times. Some Head Hunter or Hop JuJu (do they still make that?) should easily get the job done.

Hop Juju and IBUsive shit all over Heady, and any other IIPA I've had other than maybe Hop Venom.

Sorry if this sounds too smart alecky, but in your hunt to find this beer, did you look at the website for the brewery?

You can search by day, area, and which places let you buy a case. Follow the Vermont Beverage Warehouse on FB. They have two drops every Thursday, and they are scheduled, so if you are there, you get a case.

They couldn't make it a whole lot easier.

While I've never had either of those beers, I believe it because think I Head Hunter is better than Heady. Not sure if it's available in Cincy though.

You obviously haven't had NoDa's Hop Drop & Roll yet. You have my sympathy.
