Was not impressed with Grapefruit Slam at all.

I've recently found that Westbrook IPA is a bit like a "Heady Lite." It doesn't have quite the same wow factor, but I thought it was in the same vein and shared a lot of flavors.

I had Heady deja vu when I smelled a bottle of Omnipollo Fatamorgana. The taste was similar but not quite there.

The only thing I've tasted similar to Heady was "The Crusher" - also brewed by John Kimmich and basically impossible to get unless he decides to brew some more.

I absolutely love Jai Alai. And it kills me because my local Wegman's has several sixers of it laying around. I might go pick up some more. People just don't know yet.

Not impressed at all with Heady Topper, its not bad by any stretch. I am extremely impressed with Main Beer's Lunch. Other favorites include Bear Republics Racer X. I was surprised to see people hate on Cigar City. Jai Alai is not my favorite but Hopped on the High Seas I would enjoy warm out of a dirty glass you found out of a dumpster in August.

Definitely nothing close to Heady, but if I'm going for the same general hop-forward and juicy ale, the ones most available here are Dirtwolf, Sculpin, Flower Power, or Chillwave. None are even close to Heady, but I think are the next best available ales in that citrus, hoppy range (according to my taste buds).

It's been impossible for me to find anything that replicates Heady's mouthfeel. As for flavor, DirtWolf, Swami, Sculpin, and Limbo, among others come close

This may sound absolutely CRAZZZZY, but last August, I came across a 4 pack of Heady and hailed it as my new favorite IPA...claiming "the king of tropical dankness"! 2 weeks later I go to the shore and pick up a 4 pack of very fresh (less than a month) Deviant Dale's. As I took those first few sips of DD on a cool evening on the beach, I was taken aback by the similarities to HT ....I loved every sip of that 4 packs of DD! I would have swore I was drinking Heady's twin brother. Was I in a Heady delusion??? Or was fresh Deviant's just as good??????
