Heady Topper in Chicago?

Not sold anywhere outside of VT. Gotta trade for it.

 

Yea, that stuff just sits in Chicago. I think it's distributed every other week to us, but most stores have so much they don't want any more. : ) hahahah

To answer: Only shop that has probably EVER legally had the beer for customers in Chicago (or anywhere in midwest) was BeerTemple about 3 weeks or so ago. Except they were not selling it, it was free, in the cooler for whoever happened to stop by looking for some good beer.
You'll find a shady bar/store here and there that may have it for sale, at a jacked up price. First, they are not even supposed to be selling it in Illinois. Giving it away is one thing but selling it is something else.

^^I wonder how many calls BT recieves a week, like "Hello, when are you putting out more heady topper for free?"

I wish it was! I would recommend looking into trading for it my man, because that is a great beer!

 

I get called about Heady pretty much every day. And there's Easter eggs in the store more often than people realize. I will rarely if ever say what/when/where. I get bored and like to mess with people asking me to take them around the store cherry picking everything rare then have them look right at something extremely limited and move right past it.

What's even better is when somone DOES notice it and flips out. Pretty cool to see. It's only beer, and if it can make someone that happy, I try to do it when I can.

Your attitude towards things like this cements the store as my first destination whenever I can finally get down to Chicago in the near future.

Not sure if it was an Easter Egg, but I bought one of your '12 Big Johns a few months back. That was a nice surprise.
