Pig has a drop-down projector for special events. Most of the games have been on, but no sound. But assuming by "the game" you meanthe U.S. game on Thursday, then no, we don't open until 4 on thursday. Res or ThreePenny would be my suggestion.

One last question: Any chance there will be any heady left in Waterbury before noon on Thursday from the Wednesday deliveries? Never done the trip and wondering how fast it runs out. I'd love to get some HT Thursday in Waterbury instead of waiting till Friday to go up to Stowe for HT because I'm going to Hill Farmstead early Friday morning (plan to spend at least an hour there from what I've heard) and head to Montpelier for case(s) of HT and Lawson's (hopefully) by 3PM at Hunger Mountain Coop.

 

It's unlikely, but you never know. It's my local shop and it's two 4pk per person. CBC has 1pp limit. If any indication, it's been selling out on delivery day all over the distribution area. Check alchemist Thursday drop and go there. Waterbury will not be your safest bet on noon Thursday. Just IMO

 

My wife and I won a trip to Stowe that we are taking at the end of July. We will be getting into Stowe/Waterbury Wednesday around noon-2PM. Is there a good opportunity to grab a couple four packs if we get into town at that time?

Also, if we got to HF at open on Thursday how long could we expect to wait to go in and get some growlers filled?

So my buddy just let me know he's making a last minute trip from NC to Rutland, VT today, he'll be staying the night tonight and leaving sometime tomororw...... what are the chances of him scoring some Heady for me within 20-30 minutes of Rutland on short notice and where should I send him first (unfortuantely didn't have enough notice to send him with some IP trade goods!)?

 

No Heady is the Rutland area. Heady is only distro'd within (approx) 30mi of Waterbury. Closest town that gets Heady would be Warren, which is about 1hr20min drive away, but they don't get it delivered today, so there likely wouldn't be any around anyway. Waterbury is the closest place that gets deliveries today, and that's about an hour and 30 minutes from Rutland.

 

Does anyone know when Healthy Living or Route 7 get their deliveries on Mondays? I will be in Burlington a week from Monday but just in the AM. Thanks in advance

Anybody know what time Alpine Mart in Stowe usually gets it's deliveries on Friday?

Also, is Focal Banger a regular release now?

 

I'd like to know how your experience was. I'll be in Stowe in late September and the Heady hunt will be on my list of things to do.

 

It was actually really pretty easy. We pulled into Waterbury on Wednesday around noon and at the end of the exit was Crossroad Beverage. Stopped in thinking it would be gone, but apparently that was close to the drop off time so went in with the wife and they had a 2 per person limit and so we had 4 4-packs within 5 minutes of arriving. Then stop at the craft beer cellar and got another 4-pack plus some other great locals, walked around town, had dinner at Prohibition Pig (must try in my book) and was able to have some Lawson's on draught.

Then Thursday I was able to get some at Stowe Beverage in the afternoon ( I guess they pcik up a small amount for Thursday afternoon) and then went to Hill Farmstead and got there around 3:45 and only had to wait about 45 minutes start to finish.

Friday, Stowe Beverage got their regular shipment along with Edelweiss Deli (grab a sandwich, outstanding) and was able to end up with 2 cases plus 2 4-packs without really having to chase anything. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The growler fills at the gas stations was foreign to me, but a pleasant surprise.

Hope you have a great trip! And definitely hit up the places with the great tap lists (Pro Pig, Reservoir, etc). Great beers with friendly people.

 

Came across this thread while planning my own Heady Topper Pilgrimage. Thought I'd see if anyone has some current information on the best place to focus on getting HT. Plan on being in Burlington Thursday - Saturday. Stowe is also on my radar. Beverage Warehouse seems to be a great place to start. Thanks guys and gals!

Thursday 8am at hunger mountain in montpelier, then go straight to bev warehouse. Stowe doesn't have any shops with high limits on fridays. Saturday bev warehouse is pretty much the only place to find it. Thursday will be your best day to load up.

 

Anyone know what time Tomlinson's in Morrisville gets their deliveries on Friday?

 

I was just in Burlington just after the holidays, and depending on the days you'll be in the area. We went to Healthy Living on a Monday. Had some luck. They pull it out at 3:30 on Mondays and you can get a case a person usually. We got there at 2:30 to get in line. The line got fairly long but everyone managed to get some. But I'd say play it safe and get in line early.
