My brother is going to ski at Smugglers Notch this weekend...

What are the changes he will be able to find Heady Topper to bring home with him that is very close to the mountain. Can anyone direct me in the correct direction that may be closer to the mountain as he may not have enought time to get to the brewery... even though I hear it is 30 minutes from the brewery.

    Thanks in advance!

30 minutes if the notch isn't closed, other wise its an hour. What day is he driving up and driving back? Those may be the best days to get it since he'll have to drive by Waterbury.

Thank you for the response, I'll see if I can get him to stop there on the way there... that would be logical! He is going up there tomorrow and leaving outside of Boston area to come back Sunday.

He will be on the slopes before they open tomorrow. Hopefully he can still get the job done. Any bottle shops near the slopes that may have if he cannot make it to the brewery? Thanks
    Everyone!

I'm driving up on Saturday, staying there as well. Any places near the mountain to get HT? Kinda bummed to hear that chances are slim to none that they will have any on Saturday. And tho we head back him on weds, we'll probably hit HF on the way back instead of the alchemist. Any places along 91 selling HT?

Naw, unfortunately most towns in VT don't have much of a bottle selection. Not enough population density, so you mostly have to stick to general stores with the occasional one having a larger selection.

Jeffersonville doesn't really have anything, and the only place "close" that has any selection would be Tomlinson's in Morrisville, but that's a half hour away putting you half-way to the cannery anyways. They've carried Heady in the past, but I haven't seen it there since distribution got pulled back in late Summer.

Thanks BC, I appreciate it! It's not looking too good!

agreed, not holding out hope. Thanks all ofr the advice. May try Monday or Weds. If HT is availaible, do they limit what you can buy? Can one still buy a case or two?

They sold out yesterday around closing. I haven't been since they expanded production, but it sounds like there's no longer a limit (which is why they sell out of each batch...)

I was up at Stowe a few weeks ago and bought some HT at Mountain Cheese and Wine on Mountain Road (Rt 108). I don't think The Alchemist's website even mentions this place on their website. Scored some awesome cheese there too, and the guy I dealt with was super nice and helpful. Saw it across the street at Stowe Beverage as well, which is listed. They had a one 4 pack limit. Of course the Notch is closed now, so Smuggs isn't just a short drive away.

There was a six case limit last Wednesday. Not too bad.
