Like the policy. Will pretty much end the mass "poaching" by out-of-staters (& bar owners hoarding it to black-market @ $12+ per can) & leave more for locals & vacationers. Perhaps I can actually get a case some time this winter on a weekend ski trip.

OTOH Heady is such a popular beer it will just disappear despite the limits....

all who think this stinks, move closer....or tell your local brewers to STEP UP!

2 cases is more than plenty. Absence makes the heart grow fonder

Agreed, the distance one drives to obtain HT should be be taken into consideration. Perhaps a distance map with miles traveled per your license plate? For instance...1 case for VT plates, 2 for MA, 3 for NYC...& unlimited cases for VA! There u go...entitlement for ticking beer hunters - always the best solution.

Very good point. I was up at Alchemist a week or so ago and picked up 12 for myself and 24 for a friend. I had also asked a local beer enthusiast if he wanted me to pick up any - he mentioned that he had gotten a case of HT a month or so back and was "Headied out."

I had not drank any in about two months or so and your "absence" quote is totally true. The first in a long time really blows up your skirt.

Sort of. From NH and visit family every 3-6 months, so I am often "in the neighborhood". Plus, I like to share.

Criminy, I thought the butthurt and whining stuff was limited to HF releases.

For those outside the demo and unable to easily get Heady - this is one possible reason to take up homebrewing (cheap Ruination is why I started) - the recipe for HT is pretty much cloned (I brewed one and it's spookily close) and the yeast is out there for sale. I'd encourage the discouraged to consider trying to make your own - it's not hard, darn fun, rewarding and much cheaper than buying retail, even if you are within a reasonable distance from the brewery.

Me too. I think we have reciprocal beer laws due to proximity.

BUT GUYS! How will all the hip people that live in Cambridge get their Heady, you can't expect them to own a car! Guess Eastern Standard will need to start hiring drivers and people to go with them now...

Doesn't affect me much - 2 for me, 2 for my girlf - 4 cases is enough for us and the friends we buy for

Does this mean HT trade-futures just tripled?

I think the retailer muling is overblown. I've seen it pop up here and there, but what places have it semi-consistently? I always hear Eastern Standard and did see it in there last year, but admittedly I'm not there that often.

What's the over under on when the 1-case limit happens? Ski Season?

And I assume its 2-cases per person not 2-cases per car, etc - so if you go up with a buddy - you can put 4-cases in the car, etc.

It's better to drink this beer fresh vs. hoarding it - but I agree and I have muled for folks.

I used to give out 4-packs - not I get people a whole case (well - I used to).

    Great brewery, great beer.
